Article Abstract This article highlights techniques allowing you to utilize high level languages such as C# or VB6 to create GUIs for IDA plugins. Why bother? Why not. These two languages make complex UI programming very easy, are easy to debug, and are great for rapid prototyping.

a lil digging turned up a solution to the modal only problem. Turns out if you just use ShowWindow API instead of thenative VB .show or .visible method the form will display fine non-modally. SetParent also works nicely to make it a MDI child of IDA if you want that. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;247791

if you dont have VB dont worry...you can also use the freeware version of http://www.thevbzone.com/vbcce.htm Vb5 (Control Creation Edition)to create http://sandsprite.com/CodeStuff/vb5cce_ida_plugin.zip VB5CCE plugins for IDA
