PC Tools Malware Analyst
PC Tools seeks a Malware Analyst to work at our Boulder, Colorado site as a part of our rapid response team. Ideal candidates will possess advanced RE skills and be capable of working comfortably and flexibly on a variety of projects within a small, agile team. Candidates must be self starters, mature, clear communicators, and possess the ability to quickly learn new skills.
This position will focus on analyzing binaries, hex dumps, and partly on developing tools to identify behaviors and characteristics of thousands of binaries. The position's research will be guided by, and will directly report to, the Chief Threat Officer. In addition, this position will also work closely and regularly with the PCTools development staff.
Candidates must be willing to work out of our Boulder office. As this position is not a telecommuting position, a residence in the Denver, CO/Boulder, CO area is highly recommended.
Skill requirements include but are not limited to:
> Solid understanding of windows system internals and networking
> Reverse engineering experience using IDA, debuggers, disassemblers, hexeditors, unpacking and system monitoring tools
> x86 and C/C++ programming skills, plus some understanding of javascript and vbscript web programming
> Experience working in a malware lab is a plus
> Understanding of current win32 vulnerabilities, exploits, shellcode
> Experience selecting and fuzzing targets is a plus
