 Forums >>  IDA Pro  >>  Viewing file header after loading with IDA Pro

Topic created on: July 15, 2009 10:36 CDT by benington .

Hi, after loading a PE file (or COFF) with IDA Pro, it shows the disassembly of the various segments. I can view the different segments. But how can I view the PE header (or optional header, section headers, etc)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

click the "manual load" checkbox when loading the file.

on the other hand, given that the file was already loaded, you can still extract the peheader from the PE_NODE netnode (defined in ldr\pe.h)

  netnode n(PE_NODE);
  if ( exist(n) )
  {
    peheader_t pe;
    n.valobj(&pe, sizeof(pe));
  }
