They won the award for their *still under production* project Sabre Vxclass. For anyone who is into reversing, they know ... Sabre Security is on the cutting edge of RE.

The first prototype for VxClass (which was demonstrated at the T2 security conference in September 2005, before Ero joined Sabre) consisted entirely code that I developed. The second prototype for VxClass, as the literature describes it, consists of the same binary comparison engine, Halvar's pseudo-unpacker, and obligatory glue code. Over 80% of that codebase (as it existed when I left Sabre) was mine.
Now that the record is set straight: thank you, Kish. I take a lot of pride in my work, and winning this innovation award provides validation for my work. |
