Greetings
Hello, I've decided it was about time I started blogging on my RCE activities both as a personal log and as a service to the RCE community. First, a short introduction is due. My name is Alex Ionescu, and I'm a reverse engineer (OK, that sounded too much like an AA meeting). I specialize in NT Kernel coding, reversing and analysis, and some of you might know me from the Relsoft.net website (currently down) on which I posted some internals articles. For the past 3 years I have also been working on the ReactOS.project, and have now started my own project, TinyKRNL. I am more of a hobbiyst and educator then a security guru, so what I learn and publish is usually informational, rather then exploitative or protective. However, there are times when this exploration does lead to important kernel bugs or integrity violations, and I have had the privilege to be accepted to Recon 2006 to speak about it. With that being said, watch this space (and hopefully the articles section) about tidbits on various NT tricks, bugs, undocumented features and other potentially useful functionality for low-level software. I may also post generic reversing help/tutorials. Comments
