JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for the reverse engineering of vehicle control module firmware for a variety of micro-controllers in support of new application development.
* Analyses the micro controller assembly language for calibration database development.
* Assists in research of vehicle control module programming methods.
* Designs and implements software and database systems to support products and calibrations.
* Analyzes and resolves problems, prepares and implements design modifications to insure existing designs meet functional and performance specifications.
* Provides assistance for team design efforts, assisting and guiding efforts of other R&D personnel.
* Plans and develops experimental test programs.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a four year accredited college or university.
* 3-5+ years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to work independently, while keeping focus on the team goals.
* IDA Pro experience required
* IDA Pro Plug-in experience preferred
* 32 Bit micro-controller (PowerPC, MC683XX) assembly required. Additional architectures preferred
* PC Software: Visual C/C++
* Automotive powertrain controller experience preferred
* Automotive communications experience preferred
* Excellent documentation skills.
* Extremely detailed oriented.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
