Forums >>  Brainstorms - General  >>  Site Suggestion: Book Reviews

Topic created on: August 1, 2005 22:18 CDT by OpsMan .

I know it's not an original idea. However, it would be nice to here from persons at this site about the newest (and relevant) reading material. For example, I have purchased several books on security, drivers development, undocumented features (functions, symbols, etc..) only to find that out of three 800+ page books I have maybe 6 original chapters.

It would have been nice to have been informed that most information in the latter two books covered the same old ground; so to speak, of the first book. Does that make sense? Anyone feel my pain?

It's a good idea and something already in the works. I've setup an Amazon bookstore and will create a book listing under the reference library. I'll add the ability to create reviews etc. Hopefully people will purchase books they are interested in through the reference library to help support bandwidth costs.

Please message me with book suggesstions.

That's great. Getting the information I need and helping the  site at the same time.

  I'M IN.
