Topic created on: January 26, 2007 09:15 CST by medmen .

Hello everybody ;
Im working in a PHP/MYSQL environnemnt and developping into a framework and using eclips, Well im asking for a opensource tools to do kind of reverse engineering.
Thnx in advance.

I would try Google first.  Your question is a bit vague and we will certainly need a lot more specifics before any of us can reasonably help you.

Please give us a bit more detail and we can then give you a bit more help.  At this point all I can say is Google for search words that pertain to what you are truly after.  Since PHP is plaintext, I really cannot see a need for reverse engineering.

I tryed google before but really there was NO WAY ;
Well i dont know quiet well what kind of details you want , but anywyas i will describe what im doing and why im lloking for a
RE tool .
As i said before , im on a web developpement , working on an internet solution , the source code is in a framework and im using PHP/MySQL like programming language , i heard about reverse engineering tools and i want to know and see if and how can this help me.
Thnx again.

i really dont understand your problem , but , given keywords , and maybe a little "lost in translation" i would say Zend developed a framework and application server for web application (specially PHP ) protection/encryption and there are some utilities to break down this guard and grab the source again , and some people developed additional tools for Zend Protection Framework and ... , and please be specific and give more details wheh you ask something on a forum :)

I'm guessing he's speaking of reverse engineering in the "Rational Rose sence", i.e. parsing the source code and building classes/functions diagrams etc.

  medmen     January 28, 2007 07:15.28 CST
You got it igorsk :) , do you have some opensources for that ??

I would browse through http://www.sf.net and look at SourceNavigator (http://sourcenav.sourceforge.net/)

Beyond those, you are likely not going to find much open source in that realm.

Additionally:

http://staruml.sourceforge.net/en/

(I found via Google using the search terms "Open Source UML PHP" ...)
