FrSIRT Security Researcher

FrSIRT is a security research organization providing real-time security alerting services which help IT professionals to improve their security, prioritize resources, cut time and costs, and stay ahead of the latest threats. FrSIRT customers include prominent worldwide corporations, organizations, and managed security service providers, as well as medium sized business in consulting, financial, government, health care, insurance, manufacturing, retail and technology.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FrSIRT seeks security researchers to work from our Montpellier, FRANCE, offices. Corporate language at FrSIRT is English.

The researcher will work on a team of security analysts and reverse engineers whose mission is to examine, analyze, and research vulnerability reports in common software applications and network services, and develop fully-functional exploit codes or PoCs.

Candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, and must recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Relevant experience in exploit development and x86 disassembly
- Relevant experience in vulnerability research or Win32 reverse engineering
- Relevant experience with OllyDbg, IDA Pro, WinDbg, SoftICE and Metasploit
- In-depth knowledge of the inner-workings of operating systems in general and Microsoft Windows specifically
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols in general and TCP/IP specifically
- In-depth knowledge of advanced programming languages (e.g. C, Perl, or Python)
- Experience in binary diffing and patch reverse engineering (SABRE BinDiff or eEye Binary Diffing Suite) is a plus
