Forums >>  IDA Pro  >>  How to save the disassemble codes in text files ?

Topic created on: October 1, 2011 16:09 CDT by bermuda .

Hi Friends.
I am new in this forum and also in IDA.  I would really appreciate if you kindly answer my questions.

I need to create a plug-in for IDA to disassemble some files (not just one file) and save the assembly codes to text files.
As I am new in IDA, I need to know if the IDA do save the assembly codes in a texts file or not? and is it possible to import some executable files in one shot? foe example importing the executable files in a specified folder?

Thanks

IDA can export assembly  listings in text formats (but its not the default).

i'd suggest you take a look in the IDA cli options...

Use IDA in batch mode, it will automatically create .asm files for you. Something along the lines od:
ida -B -A <file>
Wrap that in a shell script and you can easily process an entire directory

Thank you guys. It works. Now I have another question: Is there any way to just save the assembly codes not the data?
